We love a good workout here at AFCHQ - have you seen our activewear? We even have Fitness Fridays a couple times a month to keep us on track with our fitness goals. Today we have a special guest blogger sharing her top workout tips with us. We'll let her handle the introduction!
Hey, gorgeous! I’m Stefanie Eadie, the girl behind the blog According to Blaire
. I’ve been blogging about fashion, beauty and lifestyle for about 2 years now and I love it! I love connecting with my followers and being able to inspire different people through my blog. I’m a wife, a mom of one, and a dog mom of two. We currently live in sunny Richmond, Virginia, about an hour from the beach! Today I wanted to share with you some of my top workout tips that will help you either get started or get over a workout hump. Here we go...
Top Tips for a Fab Workout:
1. Stay Hydrated!
This might seem like an obvious tip, but it’s SO important. Too often I don’t drink enough water throughout the day, and it makes me feel sluggish. Not only is water heathy for you, it also makes me feel more awake and I feel like I have more energy to work out.
2. Work Out with a Friend
I am the worst about making excuses to not go to the gym, or do something active. I don’t have the time, I don’t feel good, I’d rather be doing (insert lame excuse here). But the truth is, I have a few friends that ask me to work out and once I’m committed, I feel like I can’t back out. I end up getting to the gym, having a great workout and a great time with my friend.
3. Listen to Music
If you like to work out alone, make sure to bring an awesome playlist full of upbeat music to keep you going. If I’m listening to music I often zone out and forget that I’m running on a treadmill for a few minutes, making the time go by faster. I also use music when I’m struggling to keep going. For instance, if I just can’t run any longer, or can’t do one more rep, I say to myself, ‘just make it through the chorus’ or ‘one more song’ and then I give myself a quick break. It ends up pushing me further than I normally would have.
4. Wear Something Cute
This one is for real! Whenever I’m wearing something cute, I instantly feel good and better about myself. I’m more motivated and ready to accomplish things. The same thing applies to my workout clothes. I work out better knowing I look good and my clothes are cute. If you think I’m crazy, give it a try! I love the athletic clothes from All For Color
because they are bright, colorful and so cute. They are also really comfortable, lightweight and affordable.
