Things to do in Stuart, Florida
29 December 2016
Another long weekend is upon us and we cannot wait to spend it outside enjoying the beautiful weather her in South Florida. For those of you who may not know, AFCHQ is located in Stuart, Florida which was dubbed the 2016 Happiest Seaside Town by Coastal Living Magazine. Stuart is, indeed, quite a happy place. It's fairly small and peaceful but gets quite hectic during what we Floridians call "season." Season is in full swing, meaning there's tons going on. Since it is such a small town, most people wonder what on earth there is to do around here. Well, we decided to make a list of some of the places you should be sure to check out in Stuart if you're a local or just visiting.
Coffee Bar Blue Door: Hipsters from all over the area flock here by night, making it a most eclectic scene once the sun goes down. During the day you can enjoy an organic brew handcrafted by a friendly barista. If the weather permits, take your coffee outside to bask in the sunshine and take in the sites of their quaint courtyard.
Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center: Stop in to see local wildlife and make sure you stop in during a feeding! It's the busiest time to go, but it's also the best.
Bathtub Beach: One of Stuart's top beaches. Just look at that view!
Taco Shack: Owned by the self-proclaimed Taco Queen, this place is a winner for lunch or dinner. Their meat tacos are good, and their veggie options are even better!
Sailor's Return: A trendy spot for dinner and drinks. You can dock your boat at the marina, order appetizers on the boat, and enjoy the nightly musical acts. It's also a great spot for views of the Florida sunset.
Crafted Keg: While Stuart doesn't have its own brewery just yet, there's a place in downtown you can taste some local and not so local brews. Get a flight and sample with some friends.
We hope this gives you a taste of life in Stuart. If you've visited or are local we'd love to hear your favorite spots!
