tips for sticking to your fitness goalsHappy New Year! The start of the new year is the perfect time to hit refresh on your health and fitness goals. Sticking to new goals is tough, we know. Today we have Sarah of Wander Dust Blog sharing her helpful tips on how to stick to your fitness goals in the new year!

It is so easy for me to create fitness goals but it can also be such a challenge for me to complete them. I just make up every excuse possible and I'm only hurting myself in the long run. So today, I have teamed up with All for Color to share with you a list of how to stay motivated while accomplishing your fitness goals.

4 Tips for Sticking to Your Fitness Goals

  1. Buy new gym clothes: Call me crazy, but one of the main ways that I stay motivated is new gym clothes. All For Color has an affordable and fashionable active wear line and so much more! Reward yourself with purchasing new activewear to keep motivated towards accomplishing more goals!
  2. Create a fitness routine: I love to plan my fitness routine ahead of time (shocker). Each week I like to plan out what days I’ll go for a run or when I will use my resistance bands. For me, planning ahead helps to hold myself accountable. 
  3. Find a workout buddy: Everyone struggles to stick to their fitness plan. My beau and I have always had a joy in working out together so luckily I have him. I love that we can find time to go to the gym together. You can always have long distance workout buddies or just report your hard workouts to your best friend to help you stay motivated!
  4. Mix it up: I used to run every single day, but after a while that got monotonous. Now, I try to mix it up by dancing, running and lifting weights (or trying to). Take a class, they are always fun! I was also able to meet so many awesome people in my workout classes. It will definitely help to keep working out fun!
